Description
Our large pellets is a special application diet formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of many varieties of marine, ornamental and other
warm water aquatic species. The large diameter (3/8”) pellets have excellent water stability and form a soft doughy consistency after 24 hours in the
water.
Features & Benefits
• Contain high levels of protein and fat and therefore, is
especially suited to meet the needs of rapidly growing young
fish
• Extra high levels of vitamins and other trace nutrients are
added to provide desired levels of nutrients during extended
time in the water
• Various preservatives and stabilizers are added which will
protect the product against microbial degradation when
placed in water.
• The product is water stable. Although it will soften, the
product maintains its shape and structural integrity with very
little leaching for the first 24 hours
• Contains various fish attractants that enable fish to locate the
source of food very easily even in murky mud ponds
• Diets sinks which makes it a perfect diet for bottom feeders
such as catfish, Plecostomus, Grass Shrimp and many more
species that eat from the bottom
• ISO 9001:2015 Certified Quality System
Product Application & Storage
MANY! Limited only by the degree of creativity of the biologist or
hobbyist. Big enough to find, soft enough to eat, stable enough
to last and nutritious enough for good health. Some applications
include:
• Cafeteria feeding of small fry.
• Indoor tank feeding. Less fouling of water than conventional
products.
• Use as bait in tropical or bait fish traps where long-soak time
is necessary
• Pond feeding. Feed in mesh bags attached to Styrofoam.
Empty bag will float when feed is all consumed.
• Use with species that prefer to graze onfeed over a long
period of time such as Plecostomus and Grass Shrimp
• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Maintains
nutritive value and shelf life up to 6 months.
• Frozen storage helps extend shelf life.
Feeding Techniques
• When hard surface troughs, raceways and ponds are used the
Aqua Stab-L Diet can be distributed uniformly over the bottom
of the container.
• When the fish are raised in large areas with dirt or similar
bottoms, the product is best fed by placing sufficient quantities
for a 24 hour period in trays or platform type feeding stations
and distributing them uniformly around the pond’s perimeter.
• A unique feeding technique has been developed that provides
an automatic indicator as to when feed has been eaten. The
appropriate quantities of pellets are placed in 1/8” mesh bags
and a small piece of Styrofoam or other buoyant material is
attached. The bags can then be tossed into the pond and
when the fish have consumed the food, the bag will float to
the surface and can be collected for refilling
